About Us

"All About Camden Plus Credit Union"

What We Are

  • A financial co-operative
  • Based on a 'common bond'
  • As safe as any bank or building society

Camden Plus Credit Union is a financial co-operative, owned and controlled by our members, which offers financial services to suit your needs. We operate on the principle of a common bond between the members. Our common bond is living, working or studying in the London Borough of Camden, or the Brent wards of Kilburn, Brondesbury Park and Queen’s Park. There are many advantages to saving and borrowing with us and your money is as safe with us as with any other financial institution.

The FSA's Money Made Clear project has produced a useful independent guide to credit unions, which you can download at the following link:

What We Do

  • Savings accounts
  • Low cost loans
  • Free life assurance

Whether you are looking to save towards a family holiday, get access to affordable credit to buy a new household item, or simply want somewhere to receive your benefits each week, Camden Plus can help. Take a look at our other pages on this site for more information about the types of accounts and other services that we offer, including our free life assurance for all members!

Regulation

  • Regulated by the FSA
  • Your money 100% guaranteed
  • Financial Ombudsman Service available

All credit unions in the UK are regulated by the Financial Services Authority, (FSA). This also provides cover from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, (FSCS), which now guarantees the first £50,000 of your savings with one financial institution. We are also covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service, (FOS), to whom members may refer complaints.

Take a look at the following links for further information about our regulation.
